Fallen? Get Back Up!

Are you sinking in a pit of despair? Maybe you think you have fallen beyond the grace of God? Perhaps you have a besetting sin that leaves you grasping for air? It's time to get back up...

The Bible is littered with great men of God who fell at some point in their walk of faith. Look at Abraham who lied about Sarah being his wife not once but twice. David impregnated another man's wife and then set him up to be killed. Peter denied Christ three times in Luke 22 causing him to weep bitterly, but he didn't stay down and was even reunited with Christ after He had risen.

God knows we are not perfect. The Bible says, "There is none righteous, no, not one (Romans 3:10). It also says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Your sin is not greater than mine my friend, but it can be forgiven just the same. 1 John 1:9 clearly says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Donnie McClurkin sings "a Saint is just a sinner who fell down and got back up." There's no place the grace of God can not reach. Even when we fall down, He not only allows us to come back to Him but He welcomes us back with open arms. What an amazing gift of grace we have been blessed with.

Have you fallen? Proverbs 24:16 says , "A just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again..." What are you waiting for? You may have walked away from God, but He has never walked away from You. You may have slipped, but He still has his hand extended to pull you up. He is waiting and ready to welcome you home. Prodigal son or daughter it is time for you to pick yourself up and come back to your Father. You can cry in your pit of despair or you can cry out Abba I'm home.

Fallen? Get back up. With God nothing or no one can hold you down, so what are you waiting for? Get back up!

Some Will
